So, what are add ons??
The add-ons are there to enable you to round out your experience with us. As your registration covers as much as possible, there are a few things that certain people may not be interested in paying for. Therefore, we made those costs optional for you.
What comes with my registration?
We try to make sure your registration covers as much as possible! This includes:
  • Luxury Lodging
  • Meals
  • Transportation to and from events
  • Admission to DiscoverGidi events
  • Professional Photographer and Videographer
  • Select DiscoverGidi Apparel

The following are not included with registration:
  • Flights
  • Airport Transfers
  • Table Service at Events
  • Portable WiFi
Will there be phone and Wifi connectivity??
Each room in the resort is equipped with wifi connectivity available at no cost to the DG Patron. You may purchase a portable wifi device via our website if you want to have connectivity upon your arrival in Lagos. If you wish to have mobile connectivity outside of the resort, there are many SIM card providers available upon arrival and throughout the city—and we’d be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

PAYMENTS

What payment methods are accepted?
Credit or debit cards are accepted securely via our website. Whim Technologies handles our payment platform.
Are payment plans available?
Yes! Prices are listed on a per-person basis. Each person is required to at least place a $200 deposit on their trip to secure their room and space on the trip. Should you elect to use a payment plan, you will be required to adhere to the payment schedule or risk losing your space on the trip.
Are my payments secure?
Yes, please view our privacy policy for more information. Additionally, we have no access to your card information or any other stored data.
Can I get an extension on my payments?
Nah! Unfortunately, we need to make sure that we are able to keep an accurate count of who will be joining us. When payments are missed or the timeline is modified, it creates issues.
Why can’t I get a refund?
Because we make reservations and pay for each person upon booking to secure lodging, transportation, and food for everyone. We are unfortunately unable to offer refunds, this is listed at booking for this reason specifically.

REQUIRED TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Are you a Nigerian Citizen?
If you have a current and up-to-date Nigerian Passport, you are all set to go! Nigerian citizens are also not required to have a visa to travel to Ghana. Please reach out to us if you need assistance in updating or acquiring your Nigerian Passport.
Non-Nigerian Citizens
You will be required to obtain a Visa for your travel to both Nigeria and Ghana. Reach out to us and we can help direct you through the process of obtaining one . We do suggest getting your visa process started early between August-October. We can provide expedited Visa services up until November 15, 2019.

Orders and Cancellations

What if I cancel my trip?
There are absolutely no refunds. If a situation arises where your reservation needs to be terminated, you can transfer your room to someone who does not have an existing reservation. The purchase of travel insurance for unexpected cancellations is encouraged.
How do I modify my reservation?
Please contact us by email and we will make any necessary adjustments to your reservation.

OKAY. SO, WHAT ARE THE MOVES?

Are we going to any clubs?
We will be hosting group club nights at some of the best venues in the cities we visit. Bottle service and group pricing will be available for our group. More details will be provided after registration.
PLEASE NOTE: The cost of certain activities have been negotiated for our participants but ARE NOT included in your registration costs. Upon registration, we will be providing information on the costs of the excursions and tours via an activity package. The pricing is generally very reasonable and won’t break the bank.
Will we be participating in any community service??
While this is not mandatory, we’ve partnered with a few non-profit organizations to provide interested participants with the opportunity to give back.

We will be sending out a survey prior to the trip, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions as we will do our best to accommodate your needs

LOGISTICS

I want to have a place to stay before DG starts and after it ends. Can I do that?
Please reach out to us and let us know your desired dates. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. We can also make suggestions on the best places to stay nearby.
Will my transportation to/from the airport be covered if I arrive or leave early?
No. Transportation from the airport has been negotiated for purchase for set dates. You can come and leave early, but you will be responsible for your own transportation.
Is it possible to attend DG events while staying elsewhere?
Yes! An activity package will be available for those who want to make moves with DiscoverGidi but have found lodging elsewhere. Please reach out to us and let us know what your needs are, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please keep in mind that the full itinerary will be released closer to the date of the event.

Is this trip 100% turn up??
No! Though we do plan for a fair share of partying, there are options available if your definition of fun doesn’t involve the bottle service or the club. There will also be beach days and activities exploring cultural and historic points of interest during our trip Additionally, all items on the itinerary are optional, you’re free to customize your experience however you see fit.
What if I get crazy and damage my room?
All patrons will be required to leave their space in the same way they found it and act with great respect towards the resort. You will be responsible for any damage you inflict to your space.
What about security?
The resort is well equipped with multiple guards and entry is not available to the general public.
How do I choose or change my roommate? Can I upgrade to a single room?
If you want to change your roommate a form will be sent out before to confirm your roommate choice if you did not include this information during registration. You may also upgrade to a single, but that will be based on availability.
