PAYMENTS

Credit or debit cards are accepted securely via our website.

Yes! ALL prices are listed on a per-person basis. Each person is required to at least place a deposit to secure their room and space on the trip. Should you elect to use a payment plan, you will be required to adhere to the payment schedule or risk losing your space on the trip.

Yes, please view our privacy policy for more information. Additionally, we have no access to your card information or any other stored data.

Unfortunately, we need to make sure that we are able to keep an accurate count of who will be joining us. When payments are missed or the timeline is modified, it creates issues that may jeopardize the experience of others.
Because we make reservations and pay for each person upon booking to secure lodging, transportation, and food for everyone. We are unfortunately unable to offer refunds, this is listed at booking for this reason specifically.

REQUIRED TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

US Passport holders can access most countries that we visit unless we are going to Africa, we will alert you if you need a visa for whichever country that requires it.
If you have a current and up-to-date Nigerian Passport, you are all set to go! Nigerian citizens are also not required to have a visa to travel to Ghana. Please reach out to us if you need assistance in updating or acquiring your Nigerian Passport.
You will be required to obtain a Visa for your travel to both Nigeria and Ghana. Reach out to us and we can help direct you through the process of obtaining one . We do suggest getting your visa process started early between June-August.

ORDERS AND CANCELLATION

A Deposit towards a DiscoverGidi (known as DG throughout the rest of this statement) trip payment does not guarantee you an automatic spot on the trip.

DG is committed to curating and creating an experience that aligns with the culture and brand of its founders and their business. The DG experience guarantees you positive vibes and energy, throughout your fun, cultural and educational experience. DG therefore reserves the right to terminate your spot on this trip, if your words or actions negatively impact business, do not align with the mission or values of the brand, or deviates from and may potentially deteriorate the experience of others on the trip. In this event, you will be notified by DG of their decision, you will receive a full reimbursement for your DG ticket and you will be removed from all trip communications. DG will not be responsible for any trip related cost you have incurred before your termination.

As stated on the home page banner, there are no refunds, unless the country we are going to closes its borders due to COVID-19. We ask that you take the necessary precautions to remain prudent and safe before traveling with us so that you do not contract COVID-19! In the event that you do test positive for COVID-19 resulting in your inability to travel, we will not be able to issue you a full refund. However, in certain cases we will offer a partial credit towards another trip, as we have paid vendors that will not refund us due to your absence

Please note that all charges from us on your account are made in 100% good faith, please reach out to us directly prior to filing a chargeback with your financial institution in the event that you feel you have been erroneously charged.

Additionally, if your trip is canceled, please do not issue a chargeback with your financial institutions as it is detrimental to small business accounts like ours. Please first reach out to us to discuss possible recourse.

Any chargebacks filed will result being permanently BANNED from any future trips with DiscoverGidi

There are absolutely no refunds. If a situation arises where your reservation needs to be terminated, you can transfer your room to someone who does not have an existing reservation. The purchase of travel insurance for unexpected cancellations is encouraged.

OKAY. SO, WHAT ARE THE MOVES?

We will be hosting group club nights at some of the best venues in the cities we visit. Bottle service and group pricing will be available for our group. More details will be provided after registration.
PLEASE NOTE: The cost of certain activities have been negotiated for our participants but ARE NOT included in your registration costs. Upon registration, we will be providing information on the costs of the excursions and tours via an activity package. The pricing is generally very reasonable and won’t break the bank.
While this is not mandatory, we partner with non-profit organizations to provide interested participants with the opportunity to give back.

LOGISTICS

Please reach out to us and let us know your desired dates. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. We can also make suggestions on the best places to stay nearby.
No. Transportation from the airport has been negotiated for purchase for set dates. You can come and leave early, but you will be responsible for your own transportation
Yes! An activity package will be available for those who want to make moves with DiscoverGidi but have found lodging elsewhere. Please reach out to us and let us know what your needs are, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please keep in mind that the full itinerary will be released closer to the date of the event.

No! Though we do plan for a fair share of partying, there are options available if your definition of fun doesn’t involve the bottle service or the club. There will also be beach days and activities exploring cultural and historic points of interest during our trip. Additionally, all items on the itinerary are optional, you’re free to customize your experience however you see fit.
All patrons will be required to leave their space in the same way they found it and act with adequate respect towards the resort. You will be responsible for any damage you inflict to your space.
Your safety is our priority and we always select lodging in places that are safe and secure for our participants. Entry into our spaces is typically not available to the general public without identification.
How do I choose or change my roommate? Can I upgrade to a single room?
If you want to change your roommate a form will be sent out before to confirm your roommate choice if you did not include this information during registration. You may also upgrade to a single, but that will be based on availability.
